Award Categories & Eligibility Norms

Lifetime Achievement Award
Premier Honor

A retired teacher with B.Pharm, M.Pharm / Ph.D from a recognized University or any other equivalent qualification recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India. An eminent teacher with a minimum of 30 (thirty) years of teaching and research experience after completion of M.Pharm and has retired from active service. Age above 60 (sixty) years as on last date of submission. Life Membership of the APTI is mandatory.

Best Principal Award
Institutional Leadership

A Principal working in an institution recognized by a university / PCI. Must have 15 (fifteen) years of teaching experience after completion of M.Pharm, out of which at least 5 years continuously in one institution as on last date of submission. A minimum of 3 (three) years of experience as Principal / Head of Institute recognized by PCI / State Govt. Age above 40 years. Life Membership of the APTI is mandatory.

Best Teacher Award
Pedagogical Excellence

A teacher working in an institution recognized by a university / PCI. Minimum 10 (ten) years of teaching experience after completion of M.Pharm, out of which at least 5 years continuously in one institution as on last date of submission. Age above 35 years. Life Membership of the APTI is mandatory.

Best Researcher Award
Scientific Innovation

A teacher/researcher working in a PCI-approved institution with demonstrated research excellence (Scopus / SCI / SCIE publications, high citations, patents granted/published, funded research/consultancy projects, and postgraduate guidance). Minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience with 5 years continuous in current institution. Age above 35 years. Life Membership of the APTI is mandatory.

Best Women Principal Award
Women Leadership

A woman Principal working in an institution recognized by a university / PCI. Minimum 15 years of teaching experience after M.Pharm (with at least 5 years continuous in current institution) and minimum 3 years as Principal. Age above 40 years. Life Membership of the APTI is mandatory.

Best Women Teacher Award
Women in Pedagogy

A woman teacher working in an institution recognized by a university / PCI. Minimum 10 years of teaching experience after M.Pharm, out of which at least 5 years continuously in one institution as on last date of submission. Age above 35 years. Life Membership of the APTI is mandatory.

Best Women Researcher Award
Women in Science

A woman faculty member with distinguished research track record, high-impact indexed publications, extramural grants, patents, and Ph.D guidance. Minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience with 5 years continuous in current institution. Age above 35 years. Life Membership of the APTI is mandatory.

General Norms and Submission Conditions

⚖️ Eligibility & Application Rules

  • APTI Life Membership is mandatory for all award categories.
  • A candidate is eligible to apply for only one award category.
  • All awards are for teachers with pharmacy qualifications as prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) working in PCI-approved institutions affiliated with UGC-recognized universities.
  • Candidates must not have any stigma of professional misconduct, disciplinary action, or conviction.
  • Contribution to APTI state branch activities and organizational development will carry significant weightage in evaluation.

📮 Submission & Verification Process

  • Supporting Documentary Evidence: Mandatory for each claimed metric in the application form.
  • Soft Copy Submission: Send completed Word / PDF application with all enclosures to [email protected].
  • Hard Copy Address:

  • Selection: Evaluation and scrutiny will be conducted by an Expert Scrutiny Committee appointed by the State Core Executive Body.
