Key Highlights of the Revised B.Pharm Curriculum
The revised B.Pharmacy syllabus represents a paradigm shift toward student-centric, outcome-based, and competency-oriented pharmaceutical education in India. All affiliating universities in Andhra Pradesh (including AU, JNTU-K, JNTU-A, ANU, SVU, and Krishna University) are directed to initiate syllabus adoption and faculty orientation.
1. Outcome- & Competency-Based Learning
Clear definition of Course Outcomes (COs), Program Outcomes (POs), and Bloom's taxonomy mapping across all eight semesters of the undergraduate degree.
2. Modular Electives & Interdisciplinary Credits
Introduction of cutting-edge electives covering Artificial Intelligence in Drug Design, Pharmacometrics, Regulatory Affairs, and Clinical Data Management.
3. Practical Skill Enhancement & Simulation Training
Emphasis on hands-on experimental pedagogy, industry internships, and computer-assisted simulations replacing traditional repetitive routines.
State Faculty Development Support
APTI-AP, in coordination with member institutions, is hosting dedicated one-day FDPs across Andhra Pradesh (including sessions at CHIPS Guntur on 26th August 2026 and Aditya College of Pharmacy on 27th August 2026) to assist faculty members, deans, and principals in course mapping and effective delivery.
